If you have pets, this product is your very best bet for cleanup. It kept my house clean through a new puppy, ferrets who come out to "play", plus our cats who occasionally flip more than litter out of the box. You can also spray around the base of your toilet to ensure that the area stays odor and bacteria free. We keep a bottle ready at all times at our house!
The processing and delivery was quick and hassle free. I'll buy it again!

Took care of the awful dog pee smell Mar 02, 2010

We tried using vinegar, pet carpet cleaner, a carpet deep steam cleaner, etc to take out the smell of the dog pee, and nothing worked. You could still smell pee. We couldn't tell where it was coming from specifically, but it still smelled.
So we got Urine Gone, because it came with the black light and figured that would help us detect the stains and then really go after them.
Turned off all the lights. Pitch black in the house because you have to do this at night. Turned on the black light and examined the carpet. At first, we couldn't tell what was a pee stain and what wasn't. Then, just like with those 3D pictures where it just looks like jumbled lines and then "BAM, there are the 3D Dinosaurs!", you could see the yellow pee stains as plain as day.
That black light definitely works. It has to! The chemicals in pee are brought to light when you put a black light over them. At first we found some yellow drops here and there, and then we could see the huge stains. Our area rug was plastered. The carpet in the corners of the room was attacked with pee puddles.
Then we take out the Urine Gone, set it to the STREAM setting, and start flooding the stains. You need to hit each stain with a saturated amount. If you're using it on the spray setting to put a broad, thin coat over the stain, you're doing nothing but wasting spray. Set it to stream, and cover the stain. Get it really wet. Don't dry it! Let it try on its own.
Lo and Behold, a room that we didn't even like going in anymore because of the smell, and this is a room that was ruined for months, is now smelling as fine as any other room in the house. At one point we thought we'd have to get rid of the carpet, but Urine Gone saved us! I will say that for one fairly large room, we emptied about four 24 oz bottles. One bottle does not go a long way, so just plan on buying more bottles.
If you saturate the stain and you spray it at night with the help of the black light to tell you exactly where the stain is, it's going to work. Doesn't matter how long the stain has been in your carpet.
For those that think the black light didn't work to find the stains: You did something wrong. You weren't patient enough in your looking, you had lights on...something. It's a biological impossibility for the black light to not work. It's like saying your white shirt doesn't appear bright when you put a black light on it. It's not the black light; it's you.
Buy the 48 oz refills and save yourself some money.

Get the kit with the black light. That's really the key to getting rid of cat pee.
Let me say that I think cat pee is evil, and we could fill airplanes with it and win wars by dusting our enemies with it. I HATE cat pee.
I also have a very sensitive sense of smell, and two old man kitties who get moody sometimes. Guess what I need? URINE GONE!
This stuff kicks Nature's Miracle's butt. I think they both have 'enzymes' in them, but this one works better on my kitties' pee and effluvia.
You have to be patient and let it dry to really kill the smell. Here are the stages:
cat pee! AUGH kill it!
spray spray spray
that stuff smells okay.
hey, I think I still smell cat pee.
Hey, I don't smell it anymore!
This process takes a few days, depending. And you really have to saturate the pee spot, so don't be stingy with it.
The Urine Gone has to get to all the places the pee is, or it won't work. Hence the black light.
Find it, soak it, kiss it goodbye.

My puppy is nine weeks old, and is having a hard time with potty training. It's time to order this WONDERFUL product, "Urine Gone."
Once upon a time, while living in a third floor apartment, I adopted a year-old dog as a companion for my two year-old dog. All went well, until the adopted dog passed the two-year age mark. I knew she was housebroken, yet I found she was gradually covering the dining room carpet and underlying pad by peeing a LOT while I was at work. After much testing at the vet's, I learned that this dear young dog had kidneys that were still puppy-size. The vet told me that she would never have adult kidneys. I was deeply saddened, since she all three of us had bonded. I didn't want to give her up, but had no choice. The vet and his staff boarded her for free until another home was found for her. She went to live with another dog in a house with a doggie door and a large fenced yard.
After trying every method I knew of to get rid of the odor, one of my dog loving friends gave me a gallon sized bottle of Urine Gone. I saturated the carpet and pad, and just let it dry. The Urine Gone worked its magic as it dried on its own. Don't even bother with other products. Urine Gone reclaimed a room's entire carpet that had been soaked with urine. No need to replace a carpet.

I have a little rescue dog who has some "issues" and quite often deals with these issues by piddling, or straight up peeing all over the carpet. I love urine gone. It simply works. You really just have to saturate the stain (new or old - cuz sometimes don't find these accidents till later) and the stain and smell are GONE! For copious amounts of urine an additional application may be necessary, but I've yet to have this product not work!
