useless Jul 07, 2011
By G. A. Subramanian

This is absolutely useless.....had taken it to India on my last trip cause my wife is scared of dogs and cats.....and if u have been to India u would know that cats and dogs freely roam everywhere....and the only way to keep them at a distance will be to use something like this. To my disappointment this thing did not work at all....the most response I got was a dog or a cat looking curiously at me....rather than run away from me!.....it did get the attention of the dog/cat....but not enough to scare them!

It works! Nov 28, 2009
By Jules I bought one of these things on a whim, and boy, am I ever glad I did!
I've got four cats that started out life as feral, and they mind about as well as cats usually do. They usually come when called, but sometimes they ignore you in the way that only cats can. When trying to round them up for dinner, this thing is spectacular! It allows you to herd the rogue kitties into their little feeding room. And several times, it's saved one or more of my babies who were about to get into fights with other neighborhood cats.
I'm ordering another three of them, so I have one next to every exit, to break up kitty fights and run off threatening dogs. They don't like the noise, and they really scatter. (I wouldn't recommend using the laser light though, might hit them in the eyes.)
Two thumbs up and five stars.

Calling this Junk gives Junk a bad name Jun 25, 2011
By Michael Fields

I pointed this at some pigions I have that stay on the second floor window (That is the main reason I bought this) pulled the trigger, they stayed. I used the laser and pulled the trigger and they left, got to thinking, just used the laser by itself the pigioms left, so it is the laser that makes them leave and not the "noise". Also funny my neighbor saw me use the laser on the pigions and thought it was jsut a laser pointer, he told me his dog loves to chase lasers, so I turned on the laser and they dog chased it, pulled the trigger for the noise to see if this works on dogs as it says it does, and nothing, the dog just kept happyly chasing the laser. So if you want a laser, buy just a laser, as this does not work at all as it says in the description.
