A good deal and nice for protection from bed bugs Dec 05, 2010 By HBG
This is a good deal with a nice size assortment if you're interested in storing clothes/bags/gear and would like to protect against bed bugs. These bags are sturdy and vacuum seal (although the seal slowly looses suction within a week). Of all the storage bags I've tried, these have been the best.

I would definitely recommend this product to anyone. it works well and it holds so much stuff. I currently had to move and I packed up all my clothes, blankets and even my stuffed animals in the bags and they worked GREAT!!

Fine for plastic storage but not as advertised Jul 03, 2011 By C. G. King
These seem like a great idea, but don't hold suction over time. They are useful to store things in a plastic bag, but don't count on the size being compressed for any length of time. I recently bought some bags for a trip where I wanted to take a fluffy quilt. Since the quilt was easily compressible, I did manage to stuff it into a bag, but it was a big effort. It took forever to get it to stay low enough in the bag to satisfactorily close the top seam without the clip coming off the track. I finally managed that and sucked the excess air out. It didn't compress as much as I expected, but it did help keep the unwieldy quilt tucked up tight. By the time we reached our destination, however, the bag had reinflated and the quilt was trying to escape.

The problem is that the pictures make it look like you can put quite a lot into a bag, but that's not true. In order to close the top track without the clip springing off, the contents have to be at least three inches below the track and/or already very thin. It would seem that using a separate bag for each sweater, for example, would yield a pretty flat bag, but still not flat enough to stack several bags as they are slippery and reinflate to a more rounded size.

Even though I wasn't satisfied with the performance during the trip, I tried to pack away some fleece vests using the bags and was further displeased when after only one day the under bed box I put the bags in got stuck under the bed when the bags reinflated and pushed the lid of the box partly off. Rats! In the end, I'll use the bags without the compression feature as protective storage for off-season clothes where space isn't an issue, but that wasn't what I bought them for. The picture showing two stacks of clothes becoming one flat envelope is extremely misleading.

I could honestly do a space bag infomercial. I couldn't believe how much I could put in the bags and how small they were after I vacuumed them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Left stacks of blankets, pillows, pillow shams and afaghans. Take up alot of space that we really don't have. Left my 17 year old son in charge of this and wow, what a differene! We even have bags left over! Smart decision on my part and store things more effectively!
