It does exactly what it says it will. The only problem is getting the switch on the alarm to stay in the right place. The switch only moves about a half a millimeter and can be tricky to deal with. Also, the door MUST BE on track with the wall that has the magnet sensor on it. I have a very nontraditional home and it gave me some troubles. The alarm is very loud and would definitely be a deterrent for someone that is looking to break in.

Well we had these for maybe a couple days and they are all broken or in the trash. The tape they come with is old and doesn't stick. So they keep falling off and breaking on the floor. The alarm is way loud and so annoying that we didn't really want to use the product. I think the most annoying part is they won't stay on the door. I will never purchase this again.

By Mikelbravo I received this item in the mail and it was half-unpackaged. The batteries were dead in one of the alarms, and the other one just plain didn't work. The sticky mounting pad was missing on one of the sensor bars. I don't know what company was selling these, but it seems like quite the scam and they should not be allowed on amazon.
