rotato improved Jan 27, 2008
By Mama Ruta I purchased rotatos for my two daughters because I like mine so much. When I visited my daughter recently and used hers, I discovered that there have been some significant improvements over my older model. The base is weighted to make it more stable and there is a feature that causes the blade to move out away from the item being pealed so that the blade doesn't catch on the base and come off. It works great! I received my rotato as a gift, and thought I'd never use it, but when I tried it, I found it very practical. I use it all the time.

Great gadget! Dec 31, 2007
By Ms. Mitchell For all of those who love 'gadgets', this one is really slick. Just put your potato or apple on the stand and let the machine do the rest! And in just seconds. No more sore wrists from peeling tons of potatoes for that big family dinner. Virtually no cleanup except to throw away the long strand of peel. I have only used this peeler a couple of times so I don't know what the long-term durability is going to be but so far so good. Highly recommend this product.

Rotato - as seen on TV Dec 17, 2007
By Frank Manuele I hate peeling potatoes and this contraption as been useful for the last eight years or more. I also peels apples. I was happy to see that blades were still available at a reasonable price.

Rotato blades Oct 11, 2007
By A. Mikelsons I love my rotato machine. Because I have arthitis in my hands, peeling potatoes and apples is very painful for me. This machine is an inexpensive way to do the job without pain.
Its plastic body cleans up quickly and of course, doesn't rust.
The blades do sometimes rust and eventually become dull but new ones can be purchased in packs. I have had only one blade break during use, out of many blades used.
The peels made are fairly thick and result in some waste of the fruit or veggy compared to hand peeling. But compared to what I could do with arthritic hands, the machine works very well for me.
Good blades at a fair price! May 04, 2012
By Dawn Witt Good blades, they even work in my Dazey Stripper. The plastic is not as stong as the OEM blades for the Dazey Stripper, but they do not make the Dazey Stripper OEM blades anymore.
