Worth the money! Mar 08, 2007
By Donna J. Yon

I purchased the 4 piece dough press set. Shipping was FAST! Works great with rolled dough, pie crust, eggroll wrapper, and pizza dough -- pleats are visible and the pastry looks good! Works with biscuit dough or puff pastry to seal edges but doesn't hold the pleats. There are 4 presses so you can make all different sized popovers, pot stickers, hot pockets, etc. Loved the cost per unit! It is a great deal!

Great Kitchen Gadget Apr 23, 2008
By Marlo Rhodes I like making turnovers but always had trouble getting the filling in the dough without seeing it leak out because the surface I was using was too flat. These dough presses work great, the only trick to using them is to keep them dusted with flour so the dough doesn't stick to them. Otherwise they are handy and quick to use to make all my favorite fruit turnovers.

Great until it breaks Jan 04, 2009
By Rich This helped me make lovely cherry turnovers and two calzones before it broke. The hinges are held together by very cheap plastic. If they break you are out of luck.

Handle with care Nov 05, 2011

Bought these for sweetheart since she was unhappy with the quality of her empanada construction. Now they look as good as they taste. These presses perform as advertised, making uniform dumplings. These things are fragile though. Simply dropping one on the floor shattered a hinge on one of the presses, so be careful. Would be four stars except for that.

good tool for smooth fillings, but I didn't have luck making empanada's with meat, completely tore out the bottoms when I folded the pies. I recommend, you refridgerate your filling before using, and that you leave dough just a bit on the thicker side.
