love the trimmer Mar 06, 2009
By C. Wallace I use this on my silky haired dog. She loves to roll in dry grass and other stuff, so I give her a quick brushing nearly every day. Normally she hates the pin brushes, and I've actually stuck myself trying to get the hair out of them. If it has been awhile since you've brushed your dog really well, start at the rear and work forward.
It worked very well, and after a few minutes the dog relaxed for the full body brushing. The hair came out of the brush easily, sometimes with just one hand to push the button and a little shake over the trash can. The handle is plastic, a bit flimsy.
After she was all brushed, I put on the trimmer attachment. When I put it in with the long hair setting out, it somehow cuts the thin fuzzy under-hair that sheds all over the house. It removed a whole bunch more of that hair, while leaving her top hair fine. Sort of like a thinning scissors.
So I give it 4 stars. A bit flimsy and there is no need for 2 in a package, but they like that 19.95 price setting. Buy it locally and save the shipping price, I've seen them everywhere.

Dog now addicted to brushing! Oct 21, 2008
By Melissa L. Thornley

I actually got this for my long haired cat, but on a lark gave the dog a once over. Usually she dislikes brushing, but the PetZoom bristles don't seem to irritate her skin at all. If she sees me with it she runs over for a grooming! The cat likes it too, whichis great since he is prone to mats.
So it seems to be a very comfortable brush, and the self-cleaning feature is nice. It clears the brush very well.

Very Nice Sep 12, 2009

Two brushes and a littel trimmer work very well with cats or dogs. Gets a lot of hair where other brushes couldn't.
Good brush, doesn't deliver promises Apr 01, 2009
By Lynne McAvoy I found this brush to work well at picking up stray hairs off my cat. He actually loves getting brushed now. However, the brush really isn't as good as it appears. The trimmer attachment doesn't really remove knots and the hair sometimes sticks to the brush and takes more work to get off. You'd be better off just buying a regular brush at a pet store.
An OK item but my dog doesn't like it! Oct 19, 2008

I ordered this item after seeing it on tv and thinking that having it for my Shih Tzu would help with keeping her hair from matting. First of all, she hates being brushed with it unlike what the commercial says. Secondly, although it seemed to make the hair feel silky it isn't a smooth stroke over her coat and takes some tugs here and there to get it to go through which can't be comfortable for any dog. This was with my dog completely brushed out and having no tangles. It's an "ok" product if you need a grooming tool but it's not as great as they make it seem...at least in my opinon.
