Great, humane mouse trap Sep 16, 2010

I bought this product skeptically. Seems to good to be true! Inexpensive, clean, and I don't have to clean up dead rats? No way!
It works, and works great. I've killed 3-4 rats in my garage. My only complaint is that the instructions are a bit vague and the batteries don't last as long as they should. When you turn the unit on, it makes a little buzzing noise and the green light shines then goes off. This is what it should do (I thought it was setting itself off). The red light - the low battery indicator - only shines when you turn the unit on, not continuously, so your battery could go dead without you realizing it. I check them often to make sure they are still baited and rats aren't getting a free lunch.
When you catch one, the green light blinks (and there's usually a big rat tail hanging out of one end!) You toss the whole box away and never have to look or touch it. And no blood or mess.
This single product has eliminated our rat problem, and without dangerous poisons. I highly recommend it.
