I purchased this product for my husband and I to use. The main reason I choose this product is because the display is on a remote, and the max capacity is 550lb. When we received the product I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the scale can track 8 users, and will "remember" up to 10 past weights for each user. It also has a weight goal function, and will calculate how much the user needs to loose to reach his or her goal.

The set up is fairly easy and really simply. The directions are really straight forward, (I personally had some issues with the directions because they are pictures, and I was impatient so I didn't look closely at the pictures).

This product has exceeded my expectations! I would recommend this product to any one. The remote with the controls and display make it really easy to use, and the platform is sufficiently large. The only thing is the first time my husband used this product we thought he might be over the 550 capacity because the display just displayed "--------", he tried it again when he realized that his stomach must have been in the way of the infrared beam between the scale and the remote. Once he adjusted how he was holding the remote it worked perfectly.

I had initially purchased another scale from Amazon, which stopped working in a week or so. The experience left me wondering whether I should try another one or not. I'm so glad I did because this one is VASTLY different from the other model. Firstly, the base is metal and heavy (whereas the other was plastic) which makes the scale seems to be much more robust. Secondly, with the other one I could get three or more different readings at the same time, but this one will take multiple exact readings in a row without variation. The handheld display is a bit gadgety for my taste, but it does have the ability to track multiple users over time. Regardless, I would happily purchase this scale again and recommend it to my friends.

The pictures of the product on line looked a little like "as seen on TV" packaging which didn't instill a lot of confidence but the good reviews convinced me to try it. Glad I did...very happy with the heavy duty, over sized, and quality constructed scale. The infrared remote works great. I don't use the programmable features...just click on the wt button, stand on the scale, point the bottom of the remote toward the scale (hold it out far enough to clear that big belly) and stand still for a couple seconds until it beeps. I test the accuracy by weighing myself 3 times in a row. Typically see results within about a half pound which I think is pretty good considering you are weighing someone in the 350-500 pound range. That variance can increase to a pound or more if the scale is moved around...probably due to slightly uneven floor surface in my case.

This model is geared to the person(s) wanting to see the readout without eyestrain. The versatility of a bathroom scale that not only weighs but if you have a goal to lose or gain, it records your progress ( and 5 others as well). Then if you fall asleep while in the bathroom- there is an alarm clock installed!

It a little bit for me to figure out how to convert Kg, to LBs. but now that its fixed it works great,I think every "Big Bone" person, could use this.
