Clean Water is a scarce natural resource that we must conserve. Water conservation is more important now than ever before. Water is expensive and saving water means saving money. Each of us can have a positive impact on the environment if we stop wasting water.
The Instant -Off Water Saver is an automatic shut-off valve for faucets that makes saving water easy.
INSTANT-OFF replaces the aerator on any faucet in two minutes. Once installed, the water is left on. The faucet handles still adjust water temperature and volume but now the INSTANT-OFF controls the water. Push the rod for water and as soon as you release the rod the water stops.
Features:
The INSTANT-OFF is perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, garage sinks and RV's
No more wasting water when you brush your teeth, shave or wash the dishes
The Instant-Off also stops drippy faucets. No need to change stems and washers just install an INSTANT-OFF.

Less Water, Less Germs, Less Mess!! Dec 20, 2010
By MariaSmiles We have one of these in each of three bathrooms in our house. We'd put one in the kitchen, but have one of those big-head pull-out faucets and unfortunately, it won't fit. We bought our first one, a year and a half ago, and have been using it daily, ever since, without any concerns.
PROS:
- use LESS water: eco- and water-bill friendly!
- easier to wash hands and brush teeth, just click the stick!
- less water mess around faucet
- less grimy mess behind faucet (none, actually!)
- keep faucet handles cleaner and with less germs (think about what you touch and when)
- easier for those under 5' tall to wash their hands (no reaching for handles)
- may be safer, as you set the pressure and temperature, so difficult to mistakenly set "too hot" water (see photo)
- claims to "fix" leaky faucets
CONS:
- the spray is more like a showerhead spray, with individual streams of water, in a circular pattern, which splashes a bit more. Without it attached, the water is simply aerated in a single, thick stream, which does not splash as much. (minus one star)
- if you have the pressure set high, it will make a loud "thud"-like sound when turning it on and off. We keep our pressure moderate, so this is not an issue for us. (see photo)
- although most of our guests think the sticks are neat, especially the youthful ones, my father can't seem to wrap his head around the concept.
I did make a little sign, laminated it, and taped it to the top of our faucet handles, blocking quick access, to remind guests how to use it. In addition, I let new guests know to "read the signs" when they head into the loo for the first time. (We have signs for our dual-flush-style toilets, as well)
My mom, and our other frequent guests, are happy to use them.
I think it encourages young kids to wash their hands, as they seem intrigued by it.
We get a lot of questions about germs, but once we point out that, in "mainstream" bathrooms you are using the toilet, touching the handles, washing your hands and then touching the germy handles again; and in our bathroom, you swipe the stick with the BACK of your hand, without touching any handles, it makes sense to people.
We are buying more as gifts for people. They're Great!!
PS - we bought ours at a local home building store (with an orange logo), for around 6 bux. Also, if you google instant-off and check out their site, you will see a variety of lengths in both white plastic and stainless steel. Ours are white plastic. They generally "blend" into the color of our sink. We wipe them when we clean our bathroom.
Not sure about his one here, but ours came with a 13/16" Price-Pfister faucet adapter. We did not need it, as ours fit without them.
I rely on reviews here at Amazon to help me make informed buying choices. I hope this review has helped you in the same manner. If you voted this as helpful, I Thank You! :)

great item - convenient as well as a water saver Dec 22, 2009
By Ann C We've used this product for years with great results, first on our boat and now on our RV. One handed operation - leave the water temp and pressure adjusted to your preference. No need to touch the faucet handle - just a slight push and you've got water in your hand, on your washcloth or on your tooth brush. Release the pressure and the water shuts off. No need for little ones to have to reach the faucet handles, just the end of the faucet. Sturdy -- can't remember how long we've had this particular item in *full time* use! (not merely weekends)

By J. Tackett Bought this to conserve water usage in the galley sink of my boat. Works great! No more constantly running the water to rinse dishes or wash hands.

By TPD This item is great item but very expensive on Amazon. I paid $14.95 for one on Amazon and saw the same product today at Home Depot today for $6.00.

The product we received appeared to be used, didn't fit our faucet at any rate. Amazon handled the return quickly and completely as usual.
