The overall sturdyness of this item is disapointing. While the inner "Wire" is thicker, it leaves a flap on one side of the hair hole loose and whimpy. The spongy covering catches and tangles up my hair. While there is some benefit to the idea of a thicker wire, it makes it very difficult to bend when you need to. This is not that useful of a product.

I don't use this product as much as I expected. I find it challenging to use, although it does make a lovely bun.

Purchased products 04/07/08. Rcvd 04/17/08 & emailed Hairdini with the following: "Could not put this in my hair without another person and when it was in my hair it did not stay up but slid down." NO RESPONSE! Finally found phone # for organization & left phone msg 04/21/08. NO RESPONSE! Opened dispute with PayPal for pmt of merchandise on 04/28/08 with the description "Merchandise not as described". PayPal rcvd NO RESPONSE from seller. Since seller obviously was not interested in resolution, I escalated dispute on 05/14/08 and PayPal responded with the following message: Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a refund.

 Super! I own a dozen Big Hairdinis and a dozen Tinis! Feb 24, 2009

I use my Hairdinis all the time! I am a ballroom dancer and wear my hair in a french twist and in buns constantly. I also use up to 6 all over my head as big rollers and sleep in them (my hair goes down to the middle of my back and is very thick).
Once you get comfortable with putting your hair up a lot, these work great. If you have trouble putting your hair up, I suggest separating your hair into two ponytails (one on top and one in back) and then use the Hairdini(s) as then it is easier to control your hair when your hair is in a ponytail.
Also use hairspray or some other type of product to control your hair....it is much harder if your hair doesn't have any type of product or has just been washed. I always sleep in rollers first and then can put my hair up. If I don't get some curl in my hair and hairspray, I cannot put my hair up in any fashion. I only wash my hair once a week as it is much easier to put your hair up if it is dirty!

I bought my Hairdini directly through the website. It arrived just over a month later. I live in New Zealand so understand that shipping takes longer. I was very excited to finally have it & after a bit of practice managed to get a decent bun. After using it a few time a week for about 3 weeks one of the bendy metal ends inside broke off leaving one end floppy. I contacted the site about this because I had only been using it for 3 weeks & according to the instructions. Denie promised to send a replacement. All good so far. That was towards the end of November 2008. It is now end of January 2009 & still no replacement has shown up. I've e-mailed countless times since then with no response. I'm now sending an e-mail a day just to see if I can get someone's attention. I'll never buy their product again nor will I recommend it to anyone.
