 Nice product, but wish for easier care Jan 15, 2008

This is a great, low-tech way to dust floors while protecting your feet. Easier to get into small and corner spaces than if you were wearing socks to dust. Fit is good, overall very comfortable. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because care of the item could be easier, and I wish there was more information provided about that from the manufacturer on Amazon. The sole piece peels off (hook & loop material) so that you can put those parts in the washer, but the upper must be hand washed. I recommend buying several pairs so that you can always have one to wear while others are in stages of being cleaned or dried.

I was a little nervous when I ordered these that they were more of a gimmick than a product, but I'm quite pleased! I have a large area of wood floors, and I always wear slippers, so it works out great for me! In fact, when I happen to wear my other, regular slippers, I find myself brushing my foot over dusty spots out of habit. The velcro system is genius--I just plop them in the washer. They're actually quite comfortable, also. I plan on buying them for gifts for people with hardwood floors.

They do pick up dust and most hair. My wife was not pleased with this purchase. She prefers to wear normal slippers and to sweep and vacuum. Too bad I can't wear them.

These slippers were stocking gifts for my grown daughters who all have wooden floors in their homes. They loved them for their fun and novelty. But, they tell me that they do work for quick dusting as they go about other chores around the house. I'm happy I got them.

I sent 2 pairs to my sister-in-law. Her and my niece have cleaning races.....who can clean the fastest. They said they are very slippery at first but work great for the quick pick up before company comes over.
