Usually ships in 1-2 business days | | | | | | The Precision Home Haircutting System with the Flowbee Precision Haircutting System, give you professional hairstyling results in the convenience of your own home. In fact the system is so simple and precise, can give yourself a perfect cut even with your eyes closed! In the same fashion that hairdressers pull the hair up between their fingertips to give a layered scissors cut, the Flowbee uses the suction power of your household vacuum to draw the hair up to the desired length, and then gives it a perfect cut every time. Most popular hairstyles from 1/2" to 6" long can be cut with Flowbee. The Flowbee spacers make it IMPOSSIBLE to cut the hair shorter than the length for which they are set. For that perfect tapered cut around the ears and neck specially designed spacers are also supplied. ****DOES NOT INCLUDE VACUUM CLEANER**** | | | |

slightly better than the robocut Feb 16, 2009
By G G Tuens I had a Flowbee for years but the plastic the tubes were made of was crap and broke easily. This is an updated version of the Flowbee and I am not sure yet if the tubes are made of a different material. I bought a Robocut because their tube system is better. The Flowbee cuts about 3 times faster than the Robocut. The Robocut slows down periodically from its already slow speed and there is no adapter for the vacuum hose. The Robocut seems to need a lot of vacuum compared to the Flowbee. Neither is perfect but I am retiring the Robocut and buying another Flowbee because it's much better and much quicker. I give the Flowbee at least one more star than the Robocut. I would give it 5 stars if the tubes were made of unbreakable plastic.

Not for long or thick hair Nov 05, 2006

Does well with short hair but would not recommend to someone with long or extremely thick hair. Easy to use!

flowbee Nov 10, 2006
By Paula B. Lawlar
"mommamanx"
The product did a wonderful job of cutting my hair all evenly but by the time I finished cutting my hair the electrical AC adapter had heated and became so hot that it melted the plastic casing.

Flowbee Jan 09, 2010
By dmo

We've been using the Flowbee since it first came out in San Diego in the early 80's. I believe they've since moved their manufacturing to Texas. I originally bought it for our dogs, but THIS particular one didn't work well on them at that time. ((Though I just noticed they NOW have one for pets!))
Anyway, we started using the Flowbee on ourselves. I have the original one and purchased about 2 more ONLY because I was afraid they'd take it off the market at some point, and we were addicted. The Blades on the first unit eventually dulled and I opened up one of the newer models. I love the little VAC that comes with the newer ones. I assume this particular kit also has the small vac.
Great and durable product. I can't tell you how many comments people have made over my haircuts over the years (in a good way). I wear mine fairly short at 3" or so, and I have varied lengths and combine it with a small amount of scissor work. I've always liked that highlighted modern and funky look and this product delivers whatever you want. I also cut and my husband's hair and his always looks great. The Flowbee is just an all around great product. I have an electric trimmer for detail and other work, but the bulk of our cuts is with the Flowbee. This is such an easy device to use and we've been using this technology for OVER 20 years. I get comments on my hair all the time..."WHO cuts your hair"...nobody can believe it and it's so EASY that once you get used to it, you're hooked! My hair always looks great and the only hair appts I have are for highlighting/color.
Can't say enough about the ease of use and FREEDOM it provides for just about any hair length. I'm glad they're still around. I'm thinking about picking another one up to store for the NEXT decade or two...

Neatest invention since scissors! Mar 08, 2007
By E. Bartley This is the neatest invention since someone put two sharp knives together and called them scissors. Not only does it cut a layered haircut perfectly, it does it without any mess since all the cut hair goes directly into the vacuum cleaner. Even though it takes some of the creativity out of your coiffe-cropping experience - for those of us who are not professional beauticians, it's the ticket! (And I have to admit that I have dealt with some professionals along the line who'd have done well to purchase a Flow-Bee!)
