Stick with the K Kup - REVISITED/REVISED Mar 30, 2010
By S. LAMONTAGNE My original comments were posted because - despite numerous attempts, the product did NOT work as advertised. After posting my observations, the owner of the company called. Apparently, the tinsel strength of the filter paper was an issue that impacted the viability of the product. Using two filters at a time, corrected that issue and the owner has not only offered to refund my purchase price, but also offered to replace the current inventory of filters I have with the newer improved version.
I must say, that his determination to make sure that the customer is happy with his product is to be commended. I will continue to use the filters and may even invest in a second EZ K Kup unit to keep my Keurig running for guests. This company certainly stands behind it's products and will go to great lengths to make sure that the customer is happy ...
[First Post: I purchased this product and have been VERY disappointed. I should have just used the $$ to buy another plastic, refillable K Kup - or the pre-filled ones. I have coffee grounds in every cup I brew with this system.]

ez-cup filters Jan 12, 2010
By R. Carter This is a godsend! I adore my Keurig but was looking to use my own coffee grounds since I can't find a K-cup that matches Dunkin Donut's coffee. I was extremely disappointed in Keurig's reusable K-cup. Sure it's easy but removing the coffee grounds was a huge aggravation, not to mention messy. These filters along with the EZ-cup eliminates the mess of removing used grounds. This is a must have if you enjoy using your own grounds with your Keurig.
***UPDATE:I'm still loving the E-Z cup and filters. However, I just got a bad batch of filters. Every filter in the pack would bust and leak grounds all in the cup. I would then have to disassemble the Keurig to rinse away all the stray grounds. I eventually doubled the filters for the remainder of the pack. I am about to order several more packs. Hopefully, this won't be something I run across frequently.

Better than My K-Cup Jan 07, 2010
By Chris J I have been looking for a K-Cup replacement that is not a mess to use. This resolves it and is cheap and very easy with a no mess clean up. It also seems to make a stronger cup of coffee.
If you are looking to make your own K-Cup, this is the one to use.

It works perfectly! Definately worth every penny! Apr 26, 2010
By Heather M. Tusa I had bought a Keurig Platinum B70 series coffee maker this past December. I loved the idea of making a fresh cup of coffee each time. However, I did want to use my own coffee because the k-cups can get expensive. The "my k-cup" that you can buy to use your own coffee is terrible and a pain to clean each time. I googled filters for k cups and the ez- cup and ez- cup filters came up. I decided to order them and give it a shot. To my dismay, the filters kept breaking and spilling coffee grinds into the coffee. I decided to call customer service before sending everything back for a refund. I talked to the owner who was very charming and helpful. He stayed on the phone with me for an hour and a half doing trial and error processes to make sure I was doing everything right. We came to the conclusion that it was the filters because some of the newer model keurig machines blast air after it is done brewing- causing the filters to break. To fix the problem I had to double the filters and even tear off one of the top disc covers and add it to the bottom before adding the coffee grinds. after doing that, it never broke another filter. Adrian, the owner, sent me 4 packs of filters to use untill the new, stronger filters came out. More companies should take the lead that Adrian does because you can tell he really cares about his company and the products... and most of all his customers. I just received the new, stronger filters today and I used them this morning and they work perfectly! I love the ez-cup and ez-cup filters! It makes it so easy to make a cup of coffee and clean up is a breeze- just throw away the filter and pop in a new one and you are ready to go for another cup of coffee. Also, if you grind your ground coffee a bit finer the coffee comes out richer- you can do it at the store where you buy your coffee or do it at home with a blender. I definately recommend this product to everyone who has a keurig machine and wants to use their own coffee- you will not be disappointed! And if you do have a problem just call customer service- they will do everything they can to help you out.

Yes, this works great! Feb 16, 2010

This is an amended review: the EZ-Cup holder and filter combo really does work very well. The holder is the size and shape of a K-Cup, with a lid that snaps on. You put coffee grounds or tea leaves in a filter that's also shaped like a K-Cup and has a flap on top. This is essentially what a K-Cup is.
Something I didn't know when I first used it: if your Keurig produces higher pressure than normal, the filter could tear and deposit coffee grinds or tea leaves in your cup. If that happens, use two filters for added strength. (They're inexpensive, so it's no big deal.) The company's president told me that in the next few weeks, they will have filters that are twice as strong, so it won't be necessary to double up.
You should also grind the coffee very fine -- one notch coarser than espresso, on the commercial grinder at the store. This is the grind used in K-Cups and is different from what's used in the My K-Cup re-usable assembly made by Keurig (the wire basket of the MKC will get clogged with a fine ground).
I find the EZ-Cup to be a much better product than the MKC for two reasons: it fits the standard holder, so you don't have to keep swapping them out (I was afraid of breaking the small tabs on the holder), and you don't have to clean a basket full of compacted waste. Just pop out the used filter and toss it in the trash or compost bin. The filter package seems to be made of PET plastic, so that gets recycled with bottles.
