Fork out a little more for something better! Jul 28, 2010 I purchased one to monitor my driveway. First of all, it doesn't have nearly the 400 foot range that it says it has. Also, if the sensor or reciever is placed in a metal building it will cut the range down even more. Lots of false alarms. My sensor was mounted to a fence post and I even built a three sided box around it to try and lesson the false alarms, but that hasn't helped much. You get what you pay for, so spend a little more and get something that works.

Driveway monitor Jul 24, 2010 Wow for the price this is awesome! My driveway is around 300 feet i wanted to put it at the end of the driveway but theres a garage in between the house and the end. I did try but it didn't work. So i moved it about 20' just beyond the garage in view of the house and it worked flawless. We had a massive rain today and not one false alarm. I didn't have any "size C" batteries so i took AA batteries and put them in the receiver u have to position them in between the spring and plate they are the same voltage just wont last as long. There is a high, low, and off, volume switch the low is perfect for inside and the high will make you blink if your within 20 feet it is very loud! if it is outside you would be able to easily hear it from 300 feet away. The tone reminds me of an old school doorbell "high chime followed by a low chime" Theres also a few red lights on the receiver that light up when the sensor is tripped. for being a battery operated motion sensor it is unlike others because it picks up a person walking 20' away it seems to pick up everything level and above the sensor. at first it picked up my dog so i raised it to around 4 feet off the ground and now it wont pick him up witch means now it also wont pick up leaves blowing by or grass when the wind blows I have to say within the past year this is the best 15$ i'v spent!

Good product overall Jul 22, 2010 I bought this item because of all the positive feedback for it.
The cons: My main complaint is that the sensor itself is the biggest motion sensor I have EVER seen, it's about 4" tall and 2.5" wide. It has a small red light on it that lights when the sensor is tripped, which the person tripping it might see. I put a piece of duct tape over it, which solved the problem.
The pros: Mainly that it works really well. There has never been a time so far that it hasn't gone off when someone parked in my driveway. The price is excellent too.
Good product overall.
PS-another reviewer suggested putting it in a birdhouse. Going to try it.
Drive Way Patrol Sensor Gives Alot Of False Warnings Jul 14, 2010 I have tried to move this sensor to several locations and it continues to sound off for no reason. It gives off alot of false alarms.

Awesome! Jul 09, 2010 Worked beautifully for monitoring the front door of my store. It's simply the most affordable, easiest, and most effective way of monitoring an area whether big or small.
