1Save your money - PLEASE!  Mar 18, 2008 By Samuel Ben Heier "Yard Man"
I'm sure you know the saying "If it's too good to be true, it probably is". Well, I learned that this saying is so true when purchasing this product. It is advertised so nicely, with all kinds of fantastic pictures of how terrific your lawn will look just 10 days after applying the product.
Well, let me help you save your hard earned dollars on this one. I applied as directed, spent lots of money (got the 12 pound bag) and time on it, and the results, I guess I can't call them results, since there were none. Seriously, the lawn looks identical, 3 weeks after application.

"As seen on TV" just means you'll see it work great on TV and not at your home, and I wish someone would have warned me, so I'll do it for you. Don't buy it, please!

4canada grass-personal review of product  Sep 03, 2009 By Crystal Sielaff "crystal sielaff"
I recently purchased the canada grass 12 pounds. The shipping was great.
I have a large area that is all clay and stone that i wanted the grass for that was not completly level.
I took approximatly 6 pounds and laid it heavily in a 4 x 10 ft section. in about a week to 10 days with watering it everyother day ( i slacked ) it started to grow in spots. then the last few days i have been watering it everyday. now i can see it growing more but with all the watering and ground not too level its not growing exactly like i wanted, cause the seeds moved. its bunched up in places and real light in other spots but i guess not the products fault cause it is working. what is growing does look nice.
I will have to spread more seed most likely.
the only thing i would warn is if you are working with no grass at all and are tring to make your whole yard grass from dirt or whatever you have order double what the coverage area says.
i think the 12lbs says it will cover a 1000sq ft area.
i am putting it in a 10 x 4 area (400 sq ft) and will have to use almost all of it to get the thickness that you would expect of a grassy yard comming from clay/dirt bottom.

other than that i would recommend the product. nothing else worked.

2Canada green grass seed  May 25, 2008 By Candice Louise "Candilou"
Grass seed was spread as directed. Grass finally grew after 12 days and not the 5 days as promoted and came in sparsley. We had hopes, based on the promotional information, that we might get some grass seed that would finally grow well. This was not the case. We would not recommend this product as it did not perform as advertised.

1Canada Grass Seed  Apr 10, 2009 By Barbara Simons
I Planted it about 3 week ago and I see very little results. I put more seed down than required but it's very spotty. I can still see grass seed that hasn't germinated. My lawn looks not much different then before. I used all the seed so I have nothing to return. I guess I just threw my money away. I did follow instructions.

Peter Simons.

5Price-Wise Shopper  Apr 02, 2010 By Mary M. Rawlins
After buying 5 pounds of Patch Perfect grass seed, which was a total waste of money as it was truly a dud.
I BELIEVE THE SEED WAS TOO OLD AND WOULD NOT GERMINATE. IT WAS NOT BOUGHT AT AMAZON.

I was somewhat reluctant to make the purchase of 12 pounds of Canada Green Grass Seed. The seed was fresh and we planted two areas. We used a spreader to scatter the seed and then raked the seed through the existing weeds and grass so it would fall down to the ground as much as possible. After spreading and raking we watered lightly and the next day we got several hours of soaking rain. We timed the plantings with the on-coming rain and now we have the greenest lawn in the neighborhood. The roots are long and strong. We even had it growing on top of cement based pilings in the ground. We planted in December 2009 and March 2010. So far, it is growing very well in Central Florida and the weeds are being choked out with the second planting. I've recommended this seed to several of my neighbors and friends. The 12 pounds was the most economical investment for our needs.
IT TRULY IS....AS ADVERTISED!!!!
