Mine broke after several months of use. I wore it almost every day, suspended from a belt loop. I had thought the adhesive might fail eventually, but no, it was the plastic clip. Luckily this happened at home and I did not lose my phone.
I did find it very useful and convenient while it lasted.

I picked up one of these gadgets on a friend's recommendation and I absolutely love it. It's so much easier to clip my phone to my belt loops instead of using the hard frame it came with or those weird clips. It's much faster to pick up the phone, and I NEVER drop it anymore--I loop my finger through the loop while I'm holding the phone. I love that it comes with a special hook for the car, so I can keep my cell phone visible and easily charged up on the road. Best handy gadget I've ever bought. Highly recommended.

I was once a owner of a clip hangar with a lifetime warranty. They changed their policies and when my clip hangar broke they would do nothing. This company has very poor customer service, and does not stand behind their product. The item costs pennies to produce they charge a lot and then change their policies. BE AWARE BEFORE YOU PURCHASE

I bought my second clip hanger after using a new one for the second year. Each broke within one year of service. Duh, who keeps receipts? I enjoyed the convenience, had the clip on my dashboard. I wish there was no "warranty" or else I am now feeling cheated. Just explain that plastic wears in heat and cold. And viola, you may need to order a new one in one year!

I found the cliphanger to be a handy and even chic alternative to iPhone cases, which tend to be bulky and ugly. I was all "look at me and my iPhone, aren't I so cool?" But then two things happened that indicated that the Cliphanger was not the best choice for me. "For me" are the key words here.
1) I was running for a bus once, and the damn phone slipped free of my belt loop, and skidded out into the middle of the street. Fortunately there were no cars coming, and the screen didn't crack. So if you ever have to run anywhere, unhook the Cliphanger and put the phone in your pocket or bag.
2) I was carrying some boxes for a friend one day, and I guess I must've been applying pressure to the clip without knowing it, and it snapped. My iPhone hit the ground, got a nasty crack on the screen, and I was a month outside of warranty. That sucked, and was the last draw.
The Cliphanger works as advertised for the most part, but it has some obvious - and severe - limitations. In that it failed to do the one thing I needed it to do - keeping my phone from getting cracked - I can't really recommend it.
