Fun, cute, careful if you want to buy more than one Jan 05, 2010
By S. J. Kimm Bought 2 of these for my kids. It only turns in one direction and can't turn and drive at the same time (i.e., it has to stop, spin in one direction, and then go). Price you pay to make it simple for a 5 yo to use.
Main problem is that the cars use the same controller frequency causing a single remote control to control both cars. When you try to use both remotes at the same time - confusion abounds...
Update: Seems that Fire Truck and Bubble Gum racer work on 49MHz. Police car, School Bus, and Monster Truck work on 29 MHz. If you buy two, make sure you go across these groups or else you will have controller problems.

Stock Car Princess Jun 26, 2009
By Karima Mohamed
"Expert Shopper"
I dont know who loves this this race car more, my daughter or her grandpa (an ex stock car driver)! My daughter is 21mths and absolutely loves cars!!! We are a family of racers and my baby girl is no exception! This stock car is pretty, pink, girly and has a rubber body, so it can crash into anything and not get damaged! The battery compartment is a bit difficult to get to! The remote is a matching pink. PERFECT for your Princess! Karima Khatib Mohamed, Expert Shopper, Sacramento CA

Very cheaply made Aug 24, 2010
By Hattori Hanpei This toy has a handpainted finish and is made in China so buyer beware. Also it is cheaply and poorly designed. In order to install the car batteries you have to unscrew the bottom chassis and separate if from the soft plastic car body. There is no external battery compartment. Imagine having to do this every time to refresh batteries. As for the remote, the required 9V battery is a tight fit as it seems the space was originally designed for AA size - and the protruding antenna could cause bodily injury if a child were to run and fall on it (should not be recommended for ages 2+). Other design shortcuts include the use of rubber rear wheels (connected to the motor) and front hard plastic ones. Therefore the car doesnt move in a perfectly straight line and is noisy on hardwood floors. For the price I expected a much better product. I just dont feel this is a safe toy for the recommended ages and will be shopping for an alternative.

A little finger action required. Sep 08, 2009

My granddaughter loves this car but gets a little frustrated that she has trouble manuevering it. She's not quite sure what to do with the controls yet but she is always thrilled when she makes it do something. This has drawn out many a giggle from between her lips.
