I've had several different kinds of cordless sweepers and thought this might be a good one to try. It's OK at best on hard surfaces only. It won't hold a charge for more than a few minutes on carpet. I'd send it back if the postage wasn't so expensive.

i purchased 2 of these and they are the worst piece of junk i have ever purchased. the battery doesn't hold a charge for more then 15 seconds..looks like the led lite uses most of the power.don't buy this.

This is the greatest little sweeper for cleaning up dry spills (like dry oatmeal or sand)on a hard floor. It will pick up some items on a flat carpet too. I love it that it swivels around to get at everything. I already owned one and this one was bought for my Aunt. Make sure you get the newer model with the light (they are White). The original models are Black.
The light on the newer model is a great feature.

I do not understand why the swivel sweeper is being cut down by so many viewers here. !! My daughter bought one for me, and I am thrilled with how well it works !! It does work well on carpets,(not shag) and I just love it on all my hard floors. How could that be that the charge doesn't hold? I've seen more then one review say that, OK, I used mine for over 45 minutes, on carpets and hard floors. Did my stairs with it too. And it still had a charge. Perhaps they did not charge it first before they used it.
At any rate, I love it so much, I am off to buy another one !!!

This is my third swivel sweeper. It works great on floors and picks up pet hair from carpets. I have hard wood stairs and I use mine to clean them. It makes a hard job much easier. My sweepers average about a year of use. Well worth the price.
