Went from a country life, and using a spring fed well, to the city with all the trappings, including chlorine in the showers. Chlorine will dry out your skin, and hair, and smells so bleachy. Like I have been swimming in a pool. I saw ads for this, and decided to give it a try. The perfumy stuff they stick inside is STRONG! I didnt want an aroma shower, I just wanted a shower that didnt smell of chlorine. I threw away the perfumed sponge, and the aroma cartridge that came with it. Spun the Charcol filter on it, and ta da! The pressure on the shower head is amazing! its like in the old days before water regulators stepped in and made your energizing shower a dribble. Has great settings, and you can even turn the unit off without having to reset your whole shower.
My hair is softer, my skin is less dry, and the soaps and shampoos rinse cleaner, and more thoroughly off my skin. Hard water can make shampoos and soaps stick to the skin, and not break down well. This shower head really has helped that.
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars because while the product itself is very good, and I would buy another, the stinky aroma stuff was just powerful, and made me wonder why anyone would want to smell like that. WOO! its preferable to the wet ashtray smell, or the stinky I havent bathed in a week smell, but if you are showering, I cant imagine picking those scents on purpose. They wouldnt be awful if they were toned down by 95%.
Many shops here on Amazon have it for far less than the as seen on TV style places, but be sure to read the reviews before you chose that retailer.
If anything happens to this shower head, I WILL buy another. Im hooked.

This is the second one I purchased. I like the shower massager and the fact that it has a replaceable cartridge for the filter and for the scent. The only problem, which is a big one, is that the handle doesn't stay in the holder very well. I leave it out of the holder when I am finished showering. The second one I got seems to stay in a bit better than the first one. My husband also has one in his shower and he shaved off a bit of the holder and it fits in better. I really like the filter and scent so I put up with the inconvenience.

Chrome is the color but of course (at this price) it's made of all plastic--not metal.
Pros: chlorine filter really works--you can see the difference in your skin and hair; plenty of pressure settings from stream to jet to off; very easy to unscrew and replace a chlorine-absorbing charcoal cartridge every few months. Company seems to have staying power. Years ago I bought a different brand chlorine filter shower head but then went to buy refill cartridges and they were out of business. I have used therashower for two years and finding replacement cartridges has been easy.
Cons: the shower head doesn't fit all the way down in the mount bracket (you have to force it a bit and it still looks like it could fall out but it doesn't); aromatherapy cartridges are not desirable (but once the first one is used up just leave its empty container inside and you'll have no more perfumey annoyances); the hose looks like armored cable but it's really just painted plastic--mine has developed a pinhole leak after two years and that's why I came back today to buy another--but the chlorine filtering is so worth it that I don't mind buying another therashower).

The idea of this is awesome. The implementation of this exact product left something to be desired.
The packaging was missing a few parts, but they weren't important to us. It was supposed to come with three scents and something else. Two of the scents were missing and we tossed out the one that did come with it. Too smelly.
The two issues we had with this product are:
1) The shower spray is quite narrow. We'll be moving it to our daughter's shower once we find a replacement part.
2) The piece that holds the shower head and rotates/swivels/adjusts is mediocre at best. Every time we turned the shower off, the holder would fall down and the shower head would fall off. Got old, fast. We're looking for a replacement for this piece.
The water does feel nicer after being filtered and our next shower head will have a filter and a larger, adult-size, spray field. For now, we reinstalled our previous shower head. Our daughter has the driest skin in the house, so this filter will benefit her the most.
