Chop wizard Jul 28, 2010 Thank you for sending my order so quickly. This is one of the best kitchen helpers I have ever used. When I was given the chop wizard, as a gift, I was amazed at the ease of using it. It has become my right hand in the kitchen.
Vidalia Chop Wizard Jul 27, 2010 Product works great. Love it. You just need to play around with it to see how large a piece of veggie it needs to be for your strength to push down the top. Everyone is different. For example, my husband puts down 1/2 an onion to chop but I have to cut it into 1/4's to press down the top.
I gave it a second chance!! The second one broke the first use!! Jul 24, 2010 I love this product. But it is not well made. I bought my first one and it worked great, until about the 5th time I used it. It broke by one of the hinge areas. I follow the directions and do not overload it. I quartered small onions to chop up. As I say the first one lasted about 5 times I used it. I went and got another one and just used it for the first time, again it breaks around the hinge area. The FIRST TIME I USE IT. Cheap product and breaks to easy. If they would fix the hinge area and somehow make it stronger it may be a good product. Another $20 down the drain for it though. Please make the product better!! It is a nice product but is too flimsy around the hinge area! Until they fix this I will not buy another one.
I'm buying another one Jul 16, 2010 I have rheumatoid arthritis, and I find this chopper an absolute necessity. Sure, you have to do a little preparation, but it's a lot easier to slice an onion and lay the slices on the chopper than it is to chop the whole thing -- at least, if you have arthritis. I can push down on the top with the flat of my hand just fine. I have had mine for five years, and the clear receptacle cracked (no fault of the chopper -- I dropped it and someone stepped on it -- LOL). Anyway, even with a small crack in it, it works fine; but I am going to buy another one and keep the cracked one for times when I have several ingredients to dice. I like to chop my ingredients ahead of time, and the chopper makes a great "holding bowl" while I line up all of my ingredients. This chopper is worth its weight in gold in MY kitchen!
Not durable .. product broke down by the 10th onion Jul 02, 2010 The concept is neat -- get rid of the chopping, tears, and agony of chopping a onion by one easy to use gadget.
The plastic frame completely broke down by the 10th onion. This is the second onion chopper that I had bought. Needless to say, I'm not buying this product or recommending this product again.
I just don't understand, why can't they make this neat product with some carbon fibre or some material that is durable?
Another example of a good idea but poor implementation.
