Waste of Money Oct 31, 2006
By D. Colucci This pet brush was a waste of my money! It's supposed to have batteries, but they were dead. Also, the plastic cover falls off constantly. I have a large dog who sheds, and I couldn't get any hair off him...skip this one.

Works Great on My Dogs Nov 11, 2007
By Merry Dove I have 2 50-lb terrier mix doggies with lots of long wirey hair. No, it's not the best brush for removing hair (it does remove some) but the main reason I bought it was the claim of freshening your pet. And I find that it does a GREAT job of that. After I brush the dogs they smell fresh and clean. I recently bought a Furminator deshedding tool and that works GREAT to remove the excess hair. I highly recommend it. So after using the Furminator, I brush them with the ionic brush and they look and smell great. It does emit a very high-pitched tone that I couldn't hear until I held it right up to my ear. One dog didn't mind it in the least, the other ran away at first. So we brushed him awhile with it turned off, and while he was enjoying being brushed we were able to turn it on without scaring him away. We just brushed him lower on his back and not by his ears until he got used to the sound. After that, no problems at all. If this brush conks out I will DEFINITELY buy another one. It just does a wonderful job of making them smell fresh and clean.

Saved by the Pet Groom Pro 2 Jan 11, 2007
By TERESA
"Renaissance woman"
My cat was returned to me by the vet after an operation soaking wet and smelling absolutely foul. The tech said this tiny, graceful feline had somehow spilled her water on herself, but that's another story. I hoped she would be able to groom herself clean, but 24 hours later, she still was beyond stinky.
Problem: how to remove the smell without further trauma or rewetting of the incision.
Solution: Pet Groom Pro 2. She purred the entire time I brushed her and now smells neutral: no bad odor.
Best Dog Brush Apr 29, 2010
By A. Calicchio This brush is the only one that I can easily brush my Portuguese Water Dog / Poodle Mix. He has curly hair and it works great.
The ionic feature cannot be used on cats!!! Mar 27, 2007
By Ksen Without batteries, this is just a regular hair brush. But with batteries, you can turn on the "ionic feature" of the brush. However, when turned on, the brush emits a very high-pitched buzzing sound. Even though I could barely hear it, both of my cats immediately got very scared, ran out of the room, hid, and wouldn't come back until the buzzing offender was removed from the area. The sound this brush emits is extremely irritating to cats (don't know about dogs, but my guess is, dogs as well), so I wouldn't bother with this product!!
