dont waste your money. Jun 05, 2010 the spa brush is weak, and not worth the money, a waste of money, there's nothing good to say about it. the power is too weak ,no i would not recommend this, you been warn do not purchase this.
Hated It Feb 22, 2010 I got the Spin Spa a few years ago. You can't get enough pressure for the brush to do any good. I wasted a lot of money on this and it hung in my batheroom and gathered dust. I used the suction hook for a better hand held brush.

I Absolutely Love It! Jun 27, 2009 I purchased this item almost as soon as it was first introduced and absolutely love it! I am totally disabled and cannot raise my arms or twist my body and I suffer from damaged sympathetic nerves over my entire body and have lost substantial dexterity in my hands due to a spinal injury 10 years ago. Using the spin spa has eliminated the need for someone else to have to help me shower which is well worth twice the price to me to have that independence and privacy back! I love the way it feels and the spinning action is just enough to feel really good without removing my skin. If you try to apply too much pressure the unit will stop spinning so you don't harm yourself. Changing brushes has always been relatively easy for me in spite of my limited dexterity and strength, the thing to remember is not to have soapy hands making them too slippery to grasp the brush. The handle is very easy for me to hold even when wet because of the rubbery grips and it is long enough that I don't have to twist to reach prior to the spin spa it was necessary to have someone else shower me because I could not reach. When I first considered the purchase I was concerned about the possibility of it causing too much pain for me to tolerate but after the first use I was hooked.
I really do not understand the negative reviews. Perhaps they are trying to apply too much pressure while lathering or they've failed to tighten the battery compartment completely as the instructions explain. It also instructs the user that the unit shouldn't be continually held under water, which could explain how some of the units fail to last. To date I have only replaced the batteries 3 times so it has not caused continual expense to use. When cleaning out my brushes, I do not keep them attached to the unit, nor do I leave the unit in the shower because everyone in our house (4) shares one bathroom and this keeps my unit clean and dry when not in use, a very small task considering the benefits.
When lathering, I do not stay under the waterspray, as I've found that it's not very economical to do so and be continually rinsing any soap or body washes off until you are fully lathered. In the winter I live in our RV in a warm climate and am able to bathe using just the small amount of hot water that is available. The average time I spend in the shower is well under 20 minutes, which is substantially less than anyone else in our home. The brush with the rubber nodules creates a pleasant experience when applying moisturizer. I also really like the enhanced exfoliating benefits the spin spa provides as I am quite energy-limited and being nearly totally bedridden use of the spin spa helps prohibit the onset of bedsores because it stimulates my skin.
People who have the same condition as I do can barely tolerate showering because of the pain the waterspray causes but I've found that if I wet my body and the brushes and apply my soap to the brush, I can wash thoroughly without having to sit under a steady stream of spraying water which causes excrutiating pain. Once I lather with my soap applied on the soft brush I rinse and then lather a second time using my favorite silky body wash applied to the wet pouf and it feels heavenly!
I have and will continue recommending this item and I have also purchased a unit for my best friend who suffers from the same condition and she too fell in love with it. I also tell others in our support group who suffer from the same condition about how nice it feels and that showering has again become a pleasant experience rather than the painful task it had become.
I am looking for replacement brushes but will not hesitate to purchase a second unit just for the brushes as some of the tabs that hold the brushes on the base broke off on the ones I use most often, but not until after about 18 months of regular use and I don't consider that a big problem as many other HB aids totally stop working long before that! I imagine that would be the only con I have... difficulty finding replacement brushes.

Spin Spa review Jun 22, 2009 Spin Spa-- This is my third one, I use it daily--I have Diabetic Feet, an this does an excellent cleaning job around the top of and around the ankles and bottom of the feet.
Good for the money! Feb 27, 2009 I have been using the brush every day for almost 4 weeks now and I have to say that I never had a problem so far and it still works on the same rechargable batteries without having to charge them again. It helps exfoliate and feels good in the morning to massage your back with. We will see how long it lasts.
