Historically, peppermint has had many applications, making it a very versatile herb that is widely used in aromatherapy. The aroma from the oils of the peppermint plant help to promote physical and mental well being while clearing the mind and easing stress. Peppermint is likely one of the best mental stimulants, it wakes up the mind and moves the body to action. Peppermint treats stomach aches, travel nausea and indigestion. It is an excellent painkiller and a good remedy for headaches. As winter approaches and we live with less natural sunlight, we can draw on the reserve of solar energy in peppermint for renewed vitality. Medicinally, peppermint has been used to alleviate a wide array of different conditions, including indigestion, sore throat, colds, headache, and cramps. It can prevent vomiting and help to quell nausea, and taken before eating it can help to break down fats so your body can use them more effectively. | | | |

When I bought this, it was to quell my wife's nausea onset by hyperemisis. The smell is faint. It was hardly worth the purchase. Those peppermint towelettes, though, BAM! Those are a lot of mint in a small package. Go for those instead.

By DW I purchased these thinking that they were the same product I had purchased before due to the material looking familiar. Don't be fooled, this pack must be stuffed with styrofoam as it doesn't retain the cold, and there is a sticker on it that states DO NOT MICROWAVE. It does have the peppermint smell, that's about nicest thing I can say about this product.
